Performance Stud Stars® Backers and the Performance Stud Retainers® System "STRS" is the superior traction solution designed for the avid snowmobiler.
The Stud Star Backer design provides greater support to your studs by taking advantage of its stronger all-in-one billet aluminum design, concave shape, and self-locking technology. This innovative design eliminates the critical flex point of studs, which often results in bent stud tips, and can ultimately lead to stud tear-out.
The starburst shape with its CNC machined-in grooves provide more bite under braking and faster acceleration when compared to traditional backers. The increased surface area of the Stud Stars not only serve to increase strength but also act like additional track lugs that enhance traction.
Despite the larger surface area of the Stud Stars, they are very lightweight. The lightweight design generates significantly less rotating mass which translates to faster acceleration.

The 137RN and 162RN is recommended to be used on the 1.450" and shorter studs.
The 137SS and 162SS is recommended to be used on the 1.575 and taller studs.
